Korean Steak Sandwich with Jalapenos and Garlic Mayo

With tender marinated steak, spicy jalapenos, and creamy garlic mayo between toasted ciabatta rolls, this Korean-style steak sandwich is a delicious mix of flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 ciabatta rolls, sliced and toasted
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 jalapeno, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, and minced ginger

Add sliced flank steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat

Add marinated steak slices and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until desired doneness

Season with salt and pepper

Remove from heat and set aside

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with minced garlic to make garlic mayo

To assemble the sandwiches, spread garlic mayo on one side of each toasted ciabatta roll

Layer shredded lettuce, cooked steak slices, and jalapeno slices

Top with the other half of the ciabatta roll

Serve immediately and enjoy!
